Houston Texans Fan Starts GoFundMe To Buy Out Brock Osweiler's Contract

Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler hasn't lived up to his huge contract yet this season.

One Texans fan in particular is trying to fund a Brock Osweiler buyout on his own. Houston resident Ali A-g has started a GoFundMe page attempting to raise money to pay off the remainder of Osweiler's four-year, $72 million deal.

The page reads:

“I am a die hard Texans fan and we need to get rid of Brock Osweiler or we’re not going anywhere. He is a waste of 72 million and for a dollar a day we can get him out and make Deandre Hopkins happy.”

Well, maybe Osweiler will be, or is, a waste of that $72 million. But either way, the Texans are on the hook for his play for a couple of more years, considering they guaranteed him $37 million.

Osweiler is completing just 58.2 percent of his passes through seven games. He's thrown for eight touchdowns and eight interceptions, and his 71.9 passer rating is 30th in the league. He's also 29th in completion percentage, 20th in yards passing and has the fifth most interceptions.

Good times. At least the Texans, at 4-3, remain atop the weak AFC South.
