Houston Texans star defensive end JJ Watt is just trying to watch The Masters this morning, but can't seem to find the right channel.

The NFL star became frustrated as a result, complaining about the lack of coverage surrounding the Masters this weekend.

"A tradition unlike any other... Flipping through all the channels trying to find The Masters only to be reminded that it’s not on TV until the round is halfway over," Watt complained on Twitter.

Plenty of amateur golf fans have echoed similar sentiments over the years, so this isn't too crazy of a take. But golf writer Alan Shipnuck had a snippy response to Watt's tweet, as seen below.

Knowing JJ Watt, he'd never back away from a response like this. The Texans defensive end blasted the golf writer in what appeared to be a heated response on Saturday afternoon. "Cheers Alan, thanks for the brilliant take," Watt responded. "You see I’m in a locker room waiting to board a bus and wanted to play it on the television for everyone to watch. PS - you look like a combination of Bob Saget & John Stamos. Not sure if that’s good or bad, just stating the facts."

Ouch. The last part was probably unnecessary here. But Watt brings up a valid point.

Amateur golf fans always struggle finding coverage of major golf tournaments. The sport would do itself well to advertise its coverage on a consistent basis.
