Adam Vinatieri isn't ready to hang it up just yet.

Adam Vinatieri, who is 44 years old, will return to play in the NFL for this 23rd season next year. Vinatieri has been with the Indianapolis Colts since back in 2006, but it's unclear whether he'll continue his career there. His contract is up at the end of the season.

Vinatieri announced the news after Indianapolis' loss on Saturday. He made it clear he wants to play another year - regardless of where it is.

“Indianapolis is home to me and my family. I love the Irsay family, but I understand this is a business,” Vinatieri said. “I just know I’m going to play another year.”

Vinatieri is one of the most successful kickers of all-time. He's played in five Super Bowls and won four of them - three with the New England Patriots and one with the Colts.

This year, he's been solid as well. On the season, he's 27-of-32 on field goals and 20-of-22 on extra points.
