The Indianapolis Colts are less than two hours away from their home opener against the Atlanta Falcons. But what was already going to be a stiff challenge may get a lot harder with the injuries the Colts are dealing with. Plenty of players are on the injury report, but starting running back Marlon Mack was one of the standouts.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Mack is listed as "questionable" with a hamstring injury. Per the report, he is likely to play but the team still plans to test him before making a final determination.
Marlon Mack was held to 2.5 yards per carry in last week's Colts win over the Tennessee Titans.
But when healthy, Mack has proven to be a valuable weapon for the Colts. He recorded a whopping 174 rushing yards in Week 1, over 6.9 yards per carry in the process.
In addition to Mack, Colts star wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is also questionable with a quad injury. Linebacker Darius Leonard was previously ruled out.
Indianapolis is 1-1 on the season and trying to stay alive in the playoff race with Jacoby Brissett replacing the now-retired Andrew Luck. They're also struggling to deal with the seemingly-obvious decline of future Hall of Fame kicker Adam Vinatieri.
The game will be played at 1:00 PM EST and will air on CBS.
