NFL Insider Has Big Update On Leonard Fournette Injury Status

leonard fournette had to leave the game with an injury

The Leonard Fournette injury suffered during last week's game looms large as the Jacksonville Jaguars prepare to face the New England Patriots tomorrow.

Fournette left Week 1's Jags win over the New York Giants with a hamstring issue. He hasn't practiced this week, leaving him very questionable for this week's game.

A move the Jags made today doesn't bode well for his availability either.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports that the Jaguars have activated running back Brandon Wilds in light of the Leonard Fournette injury.

That's not a good sign this close to kick-off.

T.J. Yeldon stands to get the biggest share of the available carries.

Last week, the former Alabama standout ran for 51 yards on 14 carries, and caught three balls for 18 yards and a touchdown. He was also Blake Bortles' most targeted receiver in the game.

Fournette had 41 yards on nine carries before leaving the game with the injury.

Former Auburn back Corey Grant also got a touch last week, and could see his workload increase if Fournette can't go.

Wilds was a 2016 undrafted free agent out of South Carolina, who has spent time with the Browns, Jets, and Falcons. As a Jet in 2016, he ran 10 times for 27 yards, and caught two passes for 20 yards.
