Marqise Lee injury update: the Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver went down on what looked like a very bad knee injury. He was carted off the field.
Lee was set to have a huge role with the Jags offense this fall. He was the team's second leading receiver last year, and after the departures of Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, looked to play an even bigger part this year.
Last season, the former USC standout started all 14 games that he played in. He caught 56 passes for 702 yards and three touchdowns.
During tonight's preseason game against the Falcons, Lee took a helmet to the knee. His leg bent very unnaturally.

Lee was carted off the field after the injury. The Jaguars announced that he will not return.
Falcons safety Damontae Kazee was flagged for leading with his helmet on the hit. He is a second-year player out of San Diego State, and a former fifth-round pick.
We don't have any more information on Lee's status yet. It wouldn't be surprising at all if he is out for an extended period.
If so, it is a huge blow to Jacksonville. The Jaguars offense was extremely run-dependent last year, leaning on Leonard Fournette on the ground.
Oft-beleaguered quarterback Blake Bortles showed some development late last season, leading the team to the AFC Championship and nearly knocking off the New England Patriots. Without Lee, the Jaguars offense would take a big hit.
