With the NFL Draft just hours away, Peter Schrager appeared on The Pat McAfee Show this Thursday afternoon to discuss the latest rumors circulating around the league.
While on the show, Schrager revealed that he was with Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson on Wednesday night. During their conversation, Schrager learned that Hutchinson hasn't heard anything from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This doesn't necessarily mean the Jaguars are out on Hutchinson, but it's interesting that he hasn't heard anything from the team yet.
"I was with Aidan Hutchinson last night, and I'm like, 'You can just tell me. I won't go on McAfee tomorrow and tell him exactly what you said.' I asked, 'Do you know where you're going?' He's like, 'Honestly, I don't know.' I've been around this a long time, Pat. The first pick knows by now whether he's going first overall," Schrager said.
Schrager then added that he'd "lean towards" Travon Walker being the first pick in this year's draft.
Hutchinson had an outstanding 2021 season at Michigan, racking up 62 total tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and two forced fumbles.
If the Jaguars don't select Hutchinson, he could end up playing football in the Motor City.
