It looks like there’s more to Jalen Ramsey’s trade request than getting tired of losing. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith had a new update on Jalen Ramsey that may explain how this all started.
In a morning appearance on ESPN, Stephen A. revealed that a source close to Ramsey had a fascinating revelation. Apparently, Ramsey’s issues in Jacksonville have “nothing to with (head coach) Doug Marrone” and “everything to do with (VP of football operations) Tom Coughlin.”
Coughlin’s personality hasn’t always been compatible with some of his players. It’s driven some away from him in the past, but few as young and talented as Ramsey.
It’s also worth noting that Coughlin joined the organization the year after Ramsey was drafted.
Ramsey recently made it clear that he wanted out of Jacksonville. But the team intends to keep him at least through their Week 4 game tonight.
The asking price is reportedly very high, but the Jaguars do seem to have found some would-be suitors
Stephen A. Smith just came on ESPN and said he got a text from a source close to the Jalen situation.
Says it has nothing to do with Doug Marrone
It has everything to do with Tom Coughlin #Jaguars

It’s understandable that the Jaguars will want to maximize their return on a Ramsey trade, especially given how essential he is to their defense.
Since being drafted No. 5 overall by the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft, Ramsey has not missed a start. He has earned two Pro Bowls, an All-Pro selection, and recorded 44 defended passes.
