Trevor Lawrence went through a lot of turbulence during his rookie season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, he remains very optimistic about his future with the franchise.
Speaking to the media this Tuesday, the former No. 1 overall pick shared his thoughts on Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson. It sounds like they're already on the same page.
“I really like his demeanor. He’s really, really calm,” Lawrence said, via ProFootballTalk. “Never gets too high or too low, I really like that. That’s the type of guy I like to be around. Offensively he brings a lot of different things to the table.”
Lawrence also pointed out that Pederson knows what it takes to win a Super Bowl in this league.
"That's big when you know your coach has been there been in your shoes and played quarterback, and then having that success at this level as a head coach."
The main goal for the Jaguars this year will be to put Lawrence in a position to succeed.
Lawrence has the talent to be a franchise quarterback. With the right supporting cast around him, he could potentially lead Jacksonville to new heights.
The Jaguars could get Lawrence a new weapon or two in the upcoming draft, as they own four picks in the top 70.
