For the past three years, Trevor Lawrence formed a strong bond with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. Now that he's officially in the NFL, he'll have to build a relationship from scratch with Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer.

During an interview this week with The Spun, the No. 1 overall pick briefly discussed what he's learned from Meyer at OTAs.

Lawrence's early review of Meyer is very positive, as he said "My feel from him is that he’s very intense, focused, and wants to win but knows how to interact with his players. He’s not just an all-football guy, you can have a normal conversation with him – which I appreciate."

The Clemson product then talked about the similarities and differences between Meyer and Swinney.

While the two coaches are alike when it comes to their communication and structure, Lawrence pointed out that Swinney's personality is a bit different.

"I think their personalities are different," Lawrence told The Spun. "Coach Swinney is a bit more goofy and loose, I guess. The structure in the way they do things is very similar though. Like I said, communication and the culture they want to establish is the same thing. They make it super clear, so there’s no excuse for someone to not know what the goal is here. Coach Swinney did that at Clemson and Coach Meyer does that in Jacksonville. I think any great leader needs to do that."

Throughout his tenure at Clemson, we've seen Swinney show off a few dance moves and throw shade at opposing programs. Meyer, however, is more reserved when it comes to that department.

It'll be interesting to see how Lawrence handles Meyer's scheme and coaching philosophies in Jacksonville.

The Jaguars will begin their 2021 season on the road against the Houston Texans.
