Titans QB Marcus Mariota Out For Season With Fractured Fibula

Marcus Mariota injury update: the Tennessee Titans quarterback will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a fractured fibula in Saturday's game.

The Tennessee Titans will be without quarterback Marcus Mariota for the final game of the season, after he broke his fibula today in the third quarter against the Jaguars. Head coach Mike Mularkey announced the injury after the game:

Mariota was tackled from behind while scrambling out of the pocket, with his legs getting caught awkwardly under Jaguars defensive lineman Sheldon Day. Mariota had to be carted off the field, and his right leg was immediately put in an air cast by trainers.

The injury may end the Titans' playoff hopes. With today's loss to the Jaguars, the Houston Texans can clinch the AFC South tonight with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
