Titans vs. Chargers preview:
The Titans put the Jaguars in a coffin last week, 36-22, but the score doesn't accurately reflect just how much of a beatdown it was. The Titans led 27-0 at halftime, and pretty much cruised the rest of the way. Marcus Mariota and Demarco Murray both had terrific games, with Mariota throwing two touchdowns on a tidy 18-of-22 and Murray running for 123 yards and a score.
The Chargers offense got picked apart by the Broncos defense, and they lost 27-19. Philip Rivers had an off-game, throwing three interceptions and completing less than 50 percent of his passes. It was a forgettable performance, though Melvin Gordon looked good rushing for 111 yards on 23 carries. He's proven this year to be the real deal. The Chargers were simply beaten by a better team last week.
Titans vs. Chargers prediction:
The Chargers do one thing really well: score points. And they're going to do a lot of that on a suspect Titans secondary that has struggled all year to lock down the deep ball. Demarco Murray will get his and probably rush for 100+ yards and a score, but in the end it won't be enough. Without a true receiving threat the Titans won't be able to put up enough points to match the Chargers.
