Everyone Made The Same Joke After Fire Broke Out At Broncos Stadium

A fire broke out at the Denver Broncos' Empower Field at Mile High Stadium earlier this afternoon. As serious as the incident was, it has some people rushing to tell an obvious joke.

The fire allegedly broke out in the suite level of the Denver-based stadium and black smoke quickly started rising into the clouds. News cameras could see the smoke for miles.

Hopefully firefighters are able to get the fire put out. Those who are less concerned about the potential blaze have started joking that fans are celebrating that the Broncos are "letting Russ cook."

The Broncos recently acquired Super Bowl champion quarterback Russell Wilson. His arrival immediately had fans thinking that they could be ready to go on another run like they had with Peyton Manning from 2012 to 2015.

Jokes aside, it's clear that fans are extremely excited to have Russell Wilson in the fold now. And for good reason.

And, thankfully, no injuries were suffered on Thursday during the fire.

Wilson has played on a borderline NFL MVP level for several straight years. He never missed a game for the first nine years of his career.

Broncos fans might remember him a little too well from how he led the Seahawks to crush their team in Super Bowl XLVIII. But winning Super Bowl 50 two years later probably exorcised those demons.

Let's hope that the only fires at Empower Field moving forward are players getting too hot from playing well.
