Russell Wilson had an absolute blast during his first practice as a member of the Denver Broncos.

They had their first voluntary workout on Monday as the offseason program is now underway and Wilson got to do some work with new head coach Nathaniel Hackett.

Wilson confirmed to the media after the practice session that Hackett has been a great teacher ever since he got traded to Denver last month.

“He's an amazing teacher, and I think that’s what you love about it,” Wilson said. "I think everybody’s learning at such a rapid pace, at an exponential rate. That’s been really amazing. He just brings great energy. He’s young, he’s vibrant, he brings that intelligence to the game. Obviously, he’s got a great pedigree and everything else and he wants to win, too. Our relationship is really tight."

They both look ready to try and lead the Broncos back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

Wilson is coming off another stellar season after finishing with 3,113 yards through the air, 25 touchdowns, and only six interceptions.

The Broncos will look to get him even more help on offense for this season when the NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday.
