Broncos vs. Chiefs preview:

After starting their Super Bowl defense with a 4-0 mark to begin the year, the Broncos have been wildly inconsistent. At this point, Denver's playoff hopes are on life support. A win over the Chiefs on Sunday would do wonders for both the team's chances and its psyche.

Kansas City, on the other hand, is on the cusp of a playoff berth. The Chiefs, per usual, have ridden a conservative offense and a dominant defense to a 10-win season. If Kansas City can knock off Denver on Sunday, it'll still have a shot at catching the Raiders for the AFC West crown. Either way, they're in good shape for the playoffs.

Broncos vs. Chiefs prediction:

Denver's offensive woes have doomed them the last two weeks - and we think that trend continues for a third week. Kansas City gets its 11th win of the season at home on Christmas Day and the Chiefs clinch a playoff berth. Denver will not be able to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Chiefs 20, Broncos 10
