Patrick Mahomes left tonight's game against the Denver Broncos after suffering what looked like a scary-looking leg injury. It happened when Mahomes kept the ball on a quarterback sneak in the second quarter.

Mahomes has been dealing with ankle issues, but tonight he hurt his knee. The cart came out for him, but after a few minutes down on the field, he got to his feet and and limped to the sidelines.

Mahomes would go into the locker room, and the preliminary injury report isn't great. The Chiefs have already ruled him out for the rest of the game.

Veteran Matt Moore, Kansas City's backup, has come in to take Mahomes' place.

Mahomes is obviously one of the most electrifying talents in the NFL today. If he is out for an extended amount of time, it will be a major blow to the league.

Hopefully, the injury just looked worse than it actually was. We should know more as the night goes on.

Broncos-Chiefs is on FOX and NFL Network. We'll keep you posted on any Mahomes updates.
