At the time, Reid was reportedly “in good spirits” and there was said to be no cause for concern. The latest update suggests that the initial reports were accurate.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Reid has been released from the hospital. He is expected to return to the Chiefs’ training facilities this coming week.
Details of what got Reid hospitalized in the first place haven’t been made available. The Chiefs officially said that Reid was simply “feeling ill” at the conclusion of yesterday’s game.
But in the wake of this update, Chiefs fans are ecstatic to hear that everything is okay with Reid:

“Obvious and clear W,” one fan replied.
“Love Coach Reid. Glad to hear this!” wrote another.
“so glad he’s okay !!!” a third fan replied.
This September hasn’t been an easy one for the Chiefs. After several years of dominating the month, the Chiefs ended September 2021 with back-to-back losses – close ones too.
The Chiefs are still favored to make the playoffs, but with the Chargers, Raiders and even the Broncos all surging, it’s going to be harder than ever to win the division – let alone get the top seed.
But at least they can continue the season comfortably, knowing that head coach Andy Reid is doing alright.
