One of the higher-upside cogs in the Kansas City Chiefs offense is returning for at least one more year. Demarcus Robinson, a former Florida star coming off of his fourth NFL season, has re-signed with the team.
Robinson is coming off of the best season of his career. He caught 32 passes for 449 yards and four touchdowns. All were career highs. He’s still rounding out as a player, but has really developed solid chemistry with Patrick Mahomes over the last two years.
For his career, he has 75 catches for 949 yards and eight scores, good for a 12.7 yards per catch average. Now he’ll have a chance to really break out in his age 26 season.
Patrick Mahomes is certainly excited to have him back. In response to Tom Pelissero’s initial report of Robinson’s one-year deal, he tweeted #RunItBack, tagging Robinson. With guys like Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce getting plenty of attention, guys like Robinson should manage to get some serious looks.

Coming off of a Super Bowl title, retaining talent is definitely a bit easier.
Robinson was a 2015 fourth-round pick out of Florida. His sophomore year was his most productive in college, with 53 receptions for 810 yards and seven scores.
