Tonight’s Thursday night NFL game is an old-fashioned AFC West showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. The first-place Chiefs are on the road in hostile territory.
Kansas City is also coming off a pair of home losses to the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans. Denver, meanwhile, has won two straight after starting 0-4.
These two teams have been going at it since the days of the old AFL. It is a long and storied rivalry, which the Chiefs have dominated of late.
Kansas City has swept the season series against Denver each of the last three seasons. Altogether, they’ve won seven straight over the Broncos dating back to Week 10 of the 2015 season.
ESPN has unveiled its final prediction for tonight’s game. The Football Power Index (FPI) favors the visiting team.
Kansas City has a 63.7 percent chance of winning, compared to Denver’s 30.0 percent. There’s a slim (0.3) percent chance the game ends in a tie.
Broncos-Chiefs will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET from Empower Field at Mile High.
You can watch the action on FOX and NFL Network.
