When the Kansas City Chiefs take the field this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, they'll have to do so without their starting running back.

Damien Williams suffered an injury in the team's last game against the Oakland Raiders. After not practicing for most of the week, Williams won't suit up when the team takes the field this weekend.

According to Adam Teicher, Williams will not see the field against the Baltimore Ravens.

Here's the news.

Former Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy will get the start in Williams' absence. Rookie running back Darwin Thompson will also help to fill the void.

Williams has struggled in the running game this season. He's averaging just 1.5 yards per carry while McCoy is up to five yards per tote behind the same offensive line.

Williams, however, is an excellent receiving back and has 87 yards on nine receptions through two games.

Kansas City faces its toughest test of the season this Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens come to town. Both teams sit at 2-0 on the year and provided one of the best games of the 2018 regular season.

Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson are off to hot starts and look to continue their torrid pace this weekend.
