Jamaal Charles Out For Chiefs vs. Colts With Knee Swelling

Jamaal Charles injury update: the Kansas City Chiefs star running back is out once again due to swelling in his knee.

The Chiefs have eased Charles along this season so far. He missed the first month of the season, and has just 12 total carries so far this season, with just one touch for no yards in the Chiefs' last game against the New Orleans Saints. Now, he'll be out on Sunday at the Indianapolis Colts due to some swelling in the knee.

Luckily for the Chiefs, their running game has not really suffered with Charles limited so far this season. Spencer Ware has been a workhorse for Andy Reid's club, rushing 95 times for 492 yards and two touchdowns on the year. He also has 15 catches for 285 yards and a score through the air. Charcandrick West also figures into the gameplan; he has 87 rushing yards on the season.

The 4-2 Chiefs face the 3-4 Colts at 1 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.
