Football fans have been anxiously waiting for weeks to find out which two athletes will be on the cover of EA Sports' Madden '22Moments ago, they received an answer.

EA Sports has decided to put Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes on the Madden '22 cover. This is the first time that EA Sports has used two athletes for the cover since Madden '10 with Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu.

Believe it or not, this is the second time in Mahomes' young career that he's a cover athlete. He was on the cover of Madden '20 after being named the MVP of the league.

Once the announcement was made official for this year's cover, Mahomes had the following reaction on his Twitter account: "What a time."

Mahomes told ESPN that being on the cover of Madden '22 alongside Brady is an honor.

"Whenever you first get on the cover, that's a special moment," Mahomes said, via ESPN. "So to be on it again, twice, with an all-time great like Tom Brady, it's a special moment that I'm glad that I'm able to do so soon after I had done it the first time. I'll be able to have it for the rest of my life and be able to show my kids and my kids' kids that I was on it two times."
