Patrick Mahomes is among the most-gifted passers in NFL history.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is a wizard with the football. There is not a throw Mahomes can't make. He's among the best-armed and most-accurate quarterbacks in NFL history.

Kansas City rewarded its star quarterback with a record-setting contract earlier this month. Mahomes signed a 10-year extension that could be worth up to $503 million.

“I’m just excited to have the flexibility in my contract to keep those guys around me and try to build something and do something special,” Mahomes said of his contract.

While Mahomes is now set for life money wise, he's not going to rest on his abilities. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is aiming to get even better ahead of the 2020 season.

Mahomes is known for making wild throws and it appears that he's been working on a new one. The MVP quarterback flashed a crazy behind-the-back pass during a recent workout.

Could he actually try this during a game?

We would absolutely love to see Mahomes try that during a game, but it would obviously be extremely risky.

Perhaps Mahomes will get to try it at the end of a blowout victory this fall.

Kansas City is scheduled to open the 2020 season on Thursday, Sept. 10 against the Houston Texans.
