Lane Kiffin was the Oakland Raiders head coach for a little more than a year. The offensive guru led the AFC West franchise in 2007 and for part of the '08 season.

Today is the 11-year anniversary of an epic Lane Kiffin-Raiders moment.

On September 28, 2008, Kiffin sent out legendary Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski for an insane 76-yard field goal attempt.

It missed - badly.

Kiffin, who went 4-12 in his first season in Oakland, was fired after a 1-3 start in 2008. The FAU head coach can have some fun with his tenure now. "Happy anniversary Seabass," he tweeted today.

Few people in the college football world - if any - are a more-entertaining Twitter follow than Lane Kiffin.

FAU, meanwhile, is off to a 2-2 start in 2019. The Owls are set to play Charlotte at 3:30 p.m. E.T. today.
