On Wednesday, Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders agreed to a three-year, $121.5 million contract extension. Since the franchise just invested a ton of money in him, there'll be a lot of pressure on him to have success in the postseason.

As for the playoffs, Carr recently sent a message to his critics regarding whether or not he can perform on the biggest stage.

"The question of, Can I win a playoff game? Yeah, that’s ridiculous," Carr said, via ProFootballTalk. "Yes. Just because we haven’t, just because we had one chance and we lost in the last series of the game to the AFC champions? Yeah, I think we can. It just shows you how close we were.

"But with that said, 55 percent of the teams that make the playoffs, the next year don’t. So the odds are against us. I like that kind of thought process better, so I’m going to keep that underdog mentality, and that chip on the shoulder mindset. But at the same time, I know what I’m capable of, I know what our team’s capable of, and I’m excited to see. I know we have to earn that spot, I think we were a fifth seed something like that, and now we have to earn more than that. That’s the goal. With this division that will be tough, but we’re excited for that challenge.”

Unsurprisingly, NFL fans had clever responses to Carr's message.

"You haven't Derek... That's why it's being questioned," one fan said.

"It's not ridiculous because he's never done it," another fan tweeted.

"Ridiculous you haven't? If you don't this year year...YIKES," a third fan said.

Unfortunately for Carr, he still doesn't have a win in the playoffs. The Raiders fell short to the Bengals in the Wild Card round this year.

If he wants to silence his critics, Carr will need to win at least one playoff game next season.
