This weekend, the Patriots are going to attempt to do something the Saints couldn't on Monday night against the Raiders: stop Darren Waller.

It'd be an understatement to say that Waller had a strong game against New Orleans. He was downright dominant, as he had 12 receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown.

New England obviously doesn't want to see Waller put up those type of numbers against its defense. Judging off J.C. Jackson's recent comments though, it sounds like the Patriots are ready for the challenge.

"He's good man," Jackson said when talking to reporters about Waller. "We've got something for him this weekend."

Devin McCourty also spoke to the media this week about the challenges that Waller presents.

“He brings every challenge you can think of,” McCourty said. “It’s covering him, it’s tackling him, it’s knowing where he is in their offense, how they might use him. They use him so many different ways, you’re not going to get a true bead on it.”

Bill Belichick is known for eliminating an opponent's best offensive player, and it's no secret that Waller is the most dynamic weapon the Raiders have.

Earlier this week, Belichick had some praise for Waller, saying "It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a guy like this."

We'll find out on Sunday if the Patriots have what it takes to slow down Waller.
