Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had some good personal news to share on Twitter this morning. He is a father once again.

Carr's wife Heather gave birth to the couple's third child, a baby boy named Deakon Derek Carr. Deakon joins his two older brothers Dallas and Deker Lee.

Both mother and child are "completely healthy and doing great" according to Carr.

This has been a major offseason for Carr as he enters his sixth season in the NFL. First, his team acquired an exciting new target for him in All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Then, the Raiders drafted Josh Jacobs out of Alabama in the first round, ostensibly to give Carr a more supportive and productive run game. Now, he's got a new baby to keep him busy.

We'll see come the fall if all of these additions help Carr regain the form that made him a three-time Pro Bowler from 2015-17.

Last year, he started all 16 games and set career-highs in passing yards and completion percentage. However, he also threw for a career-low 19 touchdowns passes.
