The Oakland Raiders Are In The NFL Playoffs For The 1st Time Since 2002

The Oakland Raiders are back in the postseason.

For the first time since 2002, the Silver and Black have made the playoffs. Oakland clinched a berth with a 19-16 win over the San Diego Chargers.

The Raiders' win, coupled with the Kansas City Chiefs' loss to the Tennessee Titans, pushed Oakland into first place in the AFC West with an 11-3 record.

The New England Patriots have the inside track on the No. 1 overall seed and home-field advantage, but the Raiders have positioned themselves well to earn the AFC's No. 2 seed and a first-round bye.
