San Diego Chargers RB Danny Woodhead Out For The Season With Torn ACL

The latest Danny Woodhead injury update is bad news for the San Diego Chargers and fantasy football owners alike.

San Diego Chargers RB Danny Woodhead will miss the rest of the 2016 season after tearing his ACL in yesterday's win over the San Diego Chargers. Both ESPN's Adam Schefter and the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport have confirmed the news.

The Chargers are 1-1 on the season, but can't afford to lose any more key players. Wide receiver Keenan Allen went down with an ACL tear in Week 1, and now Woodhead is out.

Woodhead's injury also hurts fantasy owners in PPR-leagues (including the author of this post). He was expected to be a major receiving option once again for Philip Rivers, particularly with Allen injured.

Besides all that though, we wish Woodhead a speedy recovery. He's a fun player to watch, and it's always brutal seeing an ACL tear end someone's season prematurely.
