LA Chargers WR Keenan Allen did not participate in the team’s Thursday practice due to a hamstring injury. This is now something to monitor as Sunday approaches.
Allen took part at practice on Wednesday, so it’s unclear as to when the injury occurred. The Chargers receiver’s hamstring injury is not related to the knee injury he suffered earlier this season.

The severity of Allen’s injury should become clearer on Friday. If Allen is still not practicing, chances are he’ll be unavailable for Sunday’s game.
The struggling Los Angeles Chargers play the 3-3 Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Chargers have lost three straight games en route to a 2-5 start this season.
Quarterback Phillip Rivers is hoping to have the team’s most dangerous receiving threat available on Sunday. The Chargers have already been hit hard with injuries this season, especially at receiver.
Dontrelle Inman and Travis Benjamin are both on the injured reserve. That leaves Andre Patton, Mike Williams, Geremy Davis and Jason Moore as the other receivers available on the roster.
Through seven games this season, Allen’s caught 44 passes for 564 yards and three touchdowns. He’s on pace for a 1,000-yard season.
Allen’s availability at practice on Friday will give a clear indication as to whether or not he’ll play on Sunday.
