Joey Bosa is yet to suit up for the Los Angeles Chargers this season. Bosa has been one of the NFL's top pass rushers through his first two seasons.
In 28 games, the former Ohio State star has 23 sacks for the Chargers, who are 1-2 in his absence.
It has been a tough early draw for L.A. The team opened against the prolific Chiefs offense, followed it with a win in Buffalo, but then lost the crosstown battle with one of the NFL's top teams, the Rams.
It sounds like Bosa will be out for at least another month, now.
Joey Bosa discussed his injury timeline with the media today.
He says that he is probably out until after the Chargers' Week 8 bye week. From NBC San Diego's Fernando Ramirez:
Bosa has been dealing with a foot injury since the start of the year. Head coach Anthony Lynn previously said it is a week-to-week issue.
The Chargers star also mentioned the injury that his younger brother, current Buckeye standout Nick Bosa, is dealing with:
The Chargers schedule should be a bit more manageable ahead of that bye week. L.A. hosts the 49ers, Raiders, travels to the Browns, and hosts the Titans.
The Chargers travel to the Seattle Seahawks in the first week after the bye. The Seahawks offensive line has been a weak spot for a few years, and could be a good first game back for Bosa, if this timeline holds.
