The San Diego Chargers Have Fired Head Coach Mike McCoy

The Chargers announced tonight they have fired head coach Mike McCoy.

McCoy's tenure in San Diego lasted four seasons.

With a 5-11 record this season, McCoy finished his time in San Diego with a 27-37 record. He reached the playoffs in his first year (2013), going 9-7, but missed the postseason the next three years.

The Chargers join the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams on the look out for a new coach.

The Denver Broncos are also likely to have a vacancy, with Gary Kubiak expected to announce his retirement this week.
