Antonio Brown returned to Oakland Raiders training camp on Tuesday afternoon after a slight hiatus from the team.
During his time away from the Raiders, Brown dealt with injuries to his feet and fought the NFL for the right to wear an outdated helmet.
The star wide receiver lost his battle with the NFL, but is reportedly doing better on the injury front.
According to Tom Schad of USA Today, Brown said he’s doing much better.
“(I’m feeling) a lot better,” Brown said. “Working towards 100 percent. It’s been a process with the feet. Any time you got a lot of blisters, it’s hard to change direction, cut and run and be able to do what I do naturally.”
Brown reportedly suffered frostbite as a result of wearing improper footwear during cryotherapy.
Head coach Jon Gruden said he expects Brown to miss most of the preseason, but he’ll be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.
As for when he’ll practice, Brown said he isn’t sure yet when he’ll return to the field. Oakland has been waiting months to find out what Brown can do after trading for the star wide receiver from the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this year.
Stay tuned for the latest.
