Eli Apple has already played for two teams in just his first four years in the NFL. It appears he’ll be suiting up for a third team very soon.
The New York Giants selected Apple with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was traded to the New Orleans Saints back in 2018 for a fourth-round pick.
Apple has shown flashes of potential in his brief time with the Saints, but he’s also dealt with injuries. During the 2019 season, he suffered an injury that forced him to miss the team’s playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Despite his success with the Saints, Apple is looking for a fresh start. According to Jerry McDonald, the Las Vegas Raiders have signed Apple.
Newest Raider . . . Eli Apple . . . has agreed to terms. #Raiders.

The Raiders have been very aggressive this offseason.
Vegas has already added Cory Littleton, Jason Witten, Jeff Heath and Nick Kwiatkoski. Now, the front office can add Apple to its long list of offseason signings.
As for New Orleans, the departure of Apple means the team will likely keep Janoris Jenkins in town for the 2020 season.
Earlier today, the Saints upgraded their secondary by reuniting with Malcolm Jenkins. We’ll see if they add another cornerback to make up for the loss of Apple.
