A.J. Green And Julio Jones On Pace For Historic Seasons

Halfway through the NFL season, wide receivers A.J. Green and Julio Jones are on pace for ridiculous 2016 campaigns.

A.J. Green of the Cincinnati Bengals is having a tremendous year so far. But Julio Jones is not too far behind Green in receiving yards. Both are on pace to put together Top 10 seasons with the most receiving yards.

Last season, Julio Jones racked up 1,871 yards en route to the second most receiving yards in a season, behind Calvin Johnson's incredible 2012 season when he gained 1,964 yards. Julio Jones, fresh off of his best season as a pro, is on pace for 1,718 yards this season. That would place him right ahead of Antonio Brown's 2014 season in which Brown racked up 1,698 yards.

Not to be outdone, A.J. Green is on pace for 1,792 yards, which would be good for the fifth most receiving yards in NFL history, right behind Antonio Brown's 2015 campaign when Brown racked up 1,834 yards. If Green holds true to his 112 yards per game average though eight games, he would move just ahead of Isaac Bruce's 1,781 yards from 1995.

With the way the Bengals and Falcons love to air out the ball, both of these historic seasons could very well happen.
