It’s been a long and difficult road for QB Teddy Bridgewater since the career-threatening leg injury he suffered with the Minnesota Vikings. But two solid years with the New Orleans Saints have revitalized the former first-round draft pick. With Drew Brees and Taysom Hill both returning to New Orleans, it seems all but assured that Bridgewater will hit free agency next week. So who will take a flyer on him?
Bleacher Report NFL analyst Brent Sobelski put together a top five ranking of possible landing spots for Bridgewater. The Saints, Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts and even the New England Patriots were named.
But there was one team that stood out from the crowd as a potential No. 1 landing spot. That team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Sobelski explained that despite Bridgewater not looking like typical quarterback that Bucs head coach Bruce Arians prefers, rumor has it that the team is very interested in bringing him into the fold.

Yet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly interested in the Miami native.
“I am hearing Tampa Bay is hot on Bridgewater,” another general manager told Mike Sando.
The Draft Network’s JC Cornell added fuel to the fire by reporting Bridgewater is the front-runner to be the Buccaneers’ next starting quarterback.
The Buccaneers are believed to have soured on former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston. With such a stacked offense as theirs, Tampa Bay may be just one QB away from ending their playoff drought.
Bridgewater fits that bill pretty perfectly. In 44 career games, he has just 25 interceptions – five less than Winston had last year alone.
Saints fans may not like having to play against a Bridgewater-led Bucs team twice a year though.
What do you think is the ideal landing spot for Teddy Bridgewater?
