The Green Bay Packers are on the hunt for a new head coach after the team fired former head coach Mike McCarthy following an embarrassing loss to the Arizona Cardinals earlier this season.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported that the team interviewed former Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell for their vacancy. Caldwell led the Colts to the Super Bowl in his first season with the team and left Detroit with a winning record.

Caldwell has company for the gig, though. Another former Colts head coach reportedly interviewed for the Packers job.

According to Tom Silverstein, former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano interviewed for the job as well.

Pagano racked up a 53-43 record in six seasons as the head coach in Indianapolis, but failed to reach the playoffs in his final three seasons with the team.

Green Bay is getting an early jump on its coaching search.
