Archie Manning, the father of star quarterbacks Peyton and Eli, suggested the former will return to the NFL at some point.

Archie said he could see Peyton returning to the NFL in one of two roles: in ownership or a front office position.

Manning was mentioned for several front office openings before the 2018 NFL season kicked off. The New York Jets were reportedly interested in Manning, but the former star quarterback decided to enjoy retirement instead.

Here's what Archie had to say about Peyton, via the Indianapolis Star:

"Peyton, somewhere along the line, would like to be back in football — in ownership or front office or something," he said.

Right now, Archie Manning said, "that would kind of isolate him and right now he’s doing a lot of different things and really enjoying doing a lot of different things."

Every major network attempted to bait the former Colts quarterback into the broadcast booth. However, Manning decided to take his time away from the game and landed a show with ESPN+.

Now he has a major decision to make. The networks will come hard after him for the 2-2020 season and perhaps a front office job will open up as well.

Will we see Manning back in a football setting any time soon?

Stay tuned.
