Injury Update For Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones
Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones has not missed a game since 2016. But after suffering a sprained AC joint, there was some worry he might miss tomorrow's game against the New Orleans Saints.
Fortunately for the Falcons, it looks like the all-world wideout might be able to play on Thanksgiving after all.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jones is "optimistic" that he can play on Thanksgiving. Jones is currently listed as questionable heading into the night game against the Saints.
In addition, Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is back as well.
Jones hasn't exactly been having the best year of his career. But with 950 receiving yards on the season, he's poised for his sixth straight season of 1,000 yards.
He's currently fourth in the NFL in receiving yards.
However, Jones' solid season has not translated well into wins. The Falcons are currently 3-8 - last place in the NFC South and the third-worst record in the NFC.
Against a Saints team that boasts a top 10 defense, the Falcons will need Jones to be at his very best if they hope to spring the upset.
The game will be played at 8:20 p.m. EST and will air on NBC.
