NFL Fans Applauding Company For Firing Man For Disturbing Attack
After the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Washington Commanders on Sunday, a disturbing video surfaced on social media.
For absolutely no reason, a Ravens fan brutally attacked a pair of Commanders fans in the streets of Baltimore. This horrifying incident was recorded by someone who appeared to enjoy this senseless act of violence. Shortly after this video was shared on social media, a spokesperson for the Baltimore Police released a statement.
“The Baltimore Police Department is aware of a social media video depicting an assault occurring near Cross Street in our Southern District,” a spokesperson said. "Currently, there have been no reports or calls made to police concerning this incident. Detectives are actively investigating the video. Anyone possessing information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Southern District at 410-396-2499 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-Lockup."
It didn't take long for people to do some digging and find out that the Ravens fan in this video is named Jack Callis. Prior to this weekend, he was employed by Maury Donnelly and Parr, Inc. Well, the Maryland-based insurance agency has reportedly fired him. The company announced that it has "zero tolerance" for violence and aggressive behavior.
NFL fans are applauding the insurance agency for firing him.
"The internet found him and contacted the police and his employer and he’s been fired and is facing charges that could land him nearly a decade in prison," one social media user said. "All over a football game. Don’t be him."
"What an idiot, hope this dude goes to jail," a second person wrote.
Another person tweeted, "This app is toxic, but sometimes it's the greatest app on the planet."
"Good!!!! Now I can’t wait for this trial," a fourth person added.
If the person in this video was indeed Callis, it's worth noting that his past is quite disturbing. In 2021, he was charged with second-degree assault.
We'll continue to provide more updates when they're available.
