The Ravens announced Wednesday that assistant coach Tee Martin will have a new role for the 2023 season.

Martin has been Baltimore's wide receivers coach for the past two seasons. As of this week, he'll make the switch to quarterbacks coach.

"I am excited for Tee to take on the responsibility of being our quarterbacks coach," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "Tee has coached every aspect of the passing game and has played and coached the quarterback position at the highest levels. A dynamic and dedicated coach, he is a high-character individual who is uniquely qualified to build upon the foundation and success of our quarterbacks."

It appears the majority of the NFL world is confused by this move.

"Love the plan of having Lamar throw and catch by himself," one fan joked.

"Weird," another fan said.

"Idk what the Ravens are doing but it sure is interesting to watch," a Twitter user added.

Of course, fans want to know if this move will affect Lamar Jackson's future with the Ravens. The truth is we just don't know yet.

What we do know, however, is that Martin has ample experience as a passing game coordinator. That could make his transition to quarterbacks coach a smooth one.
