Ravens Reportedly Ban Media From Filming Notable Activity

If you're following the Baltimore Ravens in minicamps this week, you might notice a lack of footage to correspond with some of Lamar Jackson's best moments. The reason for that appears to have been revealed.
According to ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley, the Ravens have banned the media from filming Jackson throwing to receivers. This alleged ban has not been publicly announced by the Ravens.
Speculation has run rampant as to why the Ravens would do such a thing. Some believe it's a response to a shaky pass being posted as a highlight, while others believe the team is trying to hide Jackson's throwing motions from opposing teams.
Whatever the case may be, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing many Lamar Jackson highlights outside of preseason games this summer. That's pretty strange.
2020 was a comparatively down year for Lamar Jackson, who regressed in some notable categories from his 2019 MVP campaign. He still went 11-4 as a starter though and recorded his first playoff victory with a Wildcard win over the Tennessee Titans.
The Ravens are reportedly working with an extension to lock down their franchise quarterback too.
But if Jackson is seeking money comparable to the $500 million that the Kansas City Chiefs gave Patrick Mahomes, that could be a problem. As good as he is, and as much as he's achieved, he still has to get them on a deep playoff run.
