Ben Roethlisberger Injures His Left Knee, Taken To Locker Room

Ben Roethlisberger left today's game with an apparent lower-leg injury.

Ben Roethlisberg left today's game against the Miami Dolphins with a lower-leg injury.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' starting quarterback appeared to injure his leg while rolling out to the right. He got tripped up by a Dolphins' defender but did not get taken down.

Here's the play.

Pittsburgh backup quarterback Landry Jones entered the game in Roethlisberger's absence. CBS reported that the injury is a left-knee injury. The Steelers then confirmed the injury on Twitter. "#7 Ben Roethlisberger has sustained a left knee injury. He has been taken to the locker room. His return is questionable," they posted.

Roethlisberger was able to walk into the locker room under his own power.

He had completed 5 of 9 passes for 41 yards and an interception prior to the injury.

Miami currently leads Pittsburgh, 16-8, with less than a minute to go in the first half of the game.

Update: Big Ben has returned to the game.
