Bret Bielema has landed a new job. The former Arkansas coach is working with an NFL team.

Earlier this year, he was spotted at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and then again at Alabama's pro day. He was sent there as a scout for the New England Patriots.

Now, he has an official title. According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Bielema is the "consultant to the head coach."

Here's the news from Reiss.

Bielema was fired by Arkansas in November after five seasons with the school - where his best season was an 8-5 campaign in 2015. He previously coached Wisconsin from 2006 to 2012 where he racked up a stellar 68-24 record.

The former Wisconsin and Arkansas head coach has taken his talents to the NFL. This will be his first stint as a coach in professional football.

He played for the Milwaukee Mustangs of the Arena Football League after his collegiate football career with the Iowa Hawkeyes was over.
