Broncos vs. Saints preview:
The Broncos started the season with four straight wins, and looked like the a heavy favorite in the AFC. Since then, Denver is 2-3, with two division losses. The Broncos are third in the AFC West despite a solid record, thanks to an emerging Oakland Raiders club, and a streaking Kansas City Chiefs team.
Are the Saints back? After a 2-4 start to the season, Drew Brees and New Orleans put together back-to-back impressive wins against the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. At 4-4 on the season, the Saints are in a good spot in the NFC, but they need to keep pace with a very good Atlanta Falcons team that leads the NFC South by two games.
The Broncos and Saints have played each other 10 times, with the Broncos holding an 8-2 advantage in the regular season.
Broncos vs. Saints prediction:
The Broncos field possibly the best defense in the NFL top to bottom. Drew Brees has been one of the most impressive quarterbacks of the past several years, yet the Saints defense has let the team down year after year.
Can the Saints defense do enough to give Drew Brees a chance to win this game? Probably not.
Denver will continue to field a balanced offense, and let the defense lead the way to victory.
