Cleveland Browns Clinch No. 1 Draft Pick With Loss To Steelers

The Browns clinched the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Losing is never fun--but, sometimes it's necessary. After racking up their 15th loss on the season, the Cleveland Browns have officially won the NFL Draft sweepstakes.

The Browns will get the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft after losing to the Steelers in overtime.

The Browns jumped out to an early 14-0 lead and it looked like they were going to cruise to victory. Had the Browns won this game, they could have cost themselves the No. 1 pick. San Francisco plays the Seattle Seahawks, and if the 49ers had lost, they would secure the No. 1 pick following a Browns win.

Yet, as it stands, Cleveland, a team in desperate need of talent, will select first in this year's draft.

The Browns have two first-round selections this year. In fact, the Browns have two top-ten picks in this year's draft. After finishing the season with a 1-15 record, they'll need all of the help they can get.
