NFL fans wondering where they will see Tony Romo predicting plays before they happen in Week 1 this season no longer have to speculate. Romo’s opening week assignment has been announced.
CBS is assigning its ‘A’ team of Romo and Jim Nantz to call the Tennessee Titans-Cleveland Browns matchup in Cleveland in Week 1. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 8.
Considering the fact the Browns might be the most interesting team in the NFL entering the 2019 season, it makes sense that CBS would want Nantz and Romo calling this game.
Also, looking at the rest of the Week 1 schedule, there are no other CBS games that really stand out. The network could have put Nantz and Romo on Chiefs-Jaguars or maybe Colts-Chargers but Browns-Titans is probably the most intriguing game.

As he enters his third season in the booth, Romo has established himself as one of the best, if not the best, color analysts on television. He can be a little giddy at times, but his insight is second to none, particularly pre-snap.
He and Nantz work well together too, so we should continue to see the duo thrive this season.
