Chargers vs. Broncos preview:
The Chargers erased a 17-point deficit to take down the Falcons 33-30 in overtime. For once, they were on the benefitting end of a fourth quarter collapse. Good for them. Now they take on Denver for the second time in three weeks. Can they pull off a third upset in a row? The Denver defense was able to hold Rivers to just 178 yards passing the last match-up, that's likely not going to get it done this time.
The Broncos put the Texans in a coffin on Monday night, winning 27-9. The defense looked ferocious as usual and Brock Osweiler was never able to find a rhythm. Meanwhile the Broncos running game did most of the heavy lifting on the offensive side, with C.J. Anderson rushing for 107 yards and a touchdown on just 16 carries. Trevor Simian didn't turn the ball over and threw a touchdown for good measure.
Chargers vs. Broncos prediction:
Not a smart idea to bet against the Broncos defense, so I'm not. The last time these two teams faced off, the Broncos offense was terrible. The run game was non-existent and the whole offense looked out-of-sync. Head coach Gary Kubiak's absence probably had something to do with that, and I'm expecting a dominating performance out of this Denver squad.
