Chargers vs. Falcons preview:

The Chargers upset the Broncos 21-13 last Thursday, which marks the first time this season that they haven't hilariously botched a game in the fourth quarter. This is to say, they definitely have some momentum traveling to Atlanta this week to take on the Falcons. Philip Rivers is pretty much immune to defenses at this point; he's always capable of throwing for 350 yards, and Melvin Gordon has looked fantastic so far this season. There's a lot to like about this San Diego team.

The Falcons are coming off a tough 26-24 loss the the Seahawks. It's not all bad though. Despite being down 17-3 at the half, Atlanta stormed back with 21 in the third to take the lead, proving that even after a bad start, the Falcons can still hang with the big boys of the NFL after digging themselves a huge hole. They're legit, and with Matt Ryan playing MVP-level football, they're a real threat in the NFC.

Chargers vs. Falcons prediction:

This is kind of a gut pick, but I'm taking the Chargers in this one. They've underperformed the entire year and the win against the Broncos showed they're capable of playing at a high level. Yeah, their fourth quarter play leaves a lot to be desired, but last week they looked competent, at the very least. The Chargers can hold their own in a shootout with the Falcons.
