Barring something unexpected, the Chicago Bears will pick Caleb Williams No. 1 overall in next month's NFL Draft.

While Williams reportedly is comfortable with going to play in Chicago, there are some former players who feel otherwise. Dez Bryant is one of them.

The former Dallas Cowboys star said on X/Twitter Thursday he wishes the USC quarterback would end up with a different franchise.

"I really wish Caleb Williams wasn’t going to Bears to be honest," Bryant tweeted. "As of right now the Bears organization is dysfunctional so don’t expect Caleb Williams to come in there and change the show."

Historically, Bryant is mostly correct. The Bears haven't been a consistently good team for a while, and they've always been a quarterback graveyard.

However, recently, new general manager Ryan Poles has been building a solid foundation, which includes wide receivers D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, running back D'Andre Swift, a capable offensive line and a strong defense.

On paper, it's actually not a bad situation for a top pick to step into.

"I think it's going to another big city. I've heard that they love football, so if that's the place, I'm excited for that," Williams said to Colin Cowherd this week about playing for the Bears. "The fans love football. One of the biggest things that I care about is a place that cares. If that was the place, I'd be excited."
